• About Me

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bucknell University where I was also a captain of Bucknell's Division I Women's Basketball Team. I then went on to earn my Masters in Counseling from Seton Hall University. I have served many roles and worn many hats prior to becoming a Licensed Profesional Counselor and stepping into private practice. I was a high school counselor for 10 years in California and then eventually New Jersey, where I worked closely with students and families. I also taught as an adjunct professor for NYU’s Masters in Counseling program and have past experience working with the adult IOP at Princeton Behavioral Healthcare. I have gained tremendous value from each of these roles, as each experience has contributed to the integrated and informed approach I use today. I have since been working with adolescents and adults in the private practice setting. I work with individuals on a wide array of issues, including depression, life transitions, self concept, anxiety, family dynamics, relationship difficulties, parenting, grief and loss. When I am not working or playing sports with my son, I am at the gym or at hot yoga. I also love to travel and gain deeper insight into how others live and thus try to integrate those experiences into my own life.

For those who may wonder what it is like to work with me as their therapist- I view the first session as information gathering so that I have as much background knowledge as possible and a solid idea of what the presenting problem is. Moving forward, each session will present a unique theme. While it is important to me that each person understands their past, I don't believe it is necesssary to spend years talking about one's past. Whatever happened in the past is imprinted on our current thoughts, behaviors and emotions and will be revealed in present day.
